High Water StoriesGrosslyNormalLife is excited to be part of AUXART’s High Water residency in NW Portland’s historic Building 5. High Water will deepen AUXART’s exploration of themes exploring the arc of human experience and human nature in the context of powerful, often catastrophic natural events. Combining an architectural scale sculpture by artist Philip Krohn and an immersive sound environment with multi instrumentalists Jose Medeles (1939 Ensemble), Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), Lisa Molinaro (Modest Mouse) and Raymond Richards (The Parson Red Heads), AUXART will be creating a sonic theater of spatial sound art in the composition and creation of this work. AUXART hopes to create a setting that is challenging and contemplative.
